This I Love GNR Lyrics Chinese Democracy

This I love Lyrics are from
Guns N Roses new album Chinese Democracy which was released November 2008.

This I Love by Axl Rose

And now I don’t know why
She wouldn’t say goodbye
But then it seems that I
Had seen it in her eyes
And it might not be wise
I’d still have to try
With all the love I have inside
I can’t deny
I just can’t let it die
Cause her heart’s just like mine
And she holds her pain inside
So if you ask me why
She wouldn’t say goodbye
I know somewhere inside
There is a special light
Still shining bright
And even on the darkest night
She can’t deny
So if she’s somewhere near me
I hope to God she hears me
There’s no one else could ever make me feel
I’m so alive
I hoped she’d never leave me
Please God you must believe me
I’ve searched the universe and found myself
Within’ her eyes
No matter how I try
They say it’s all a lie
So what’s the use of my
Confessions to a crime
Of passions that won’t die
In my heaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaart
So if she’s somewhere near me
I hope to God she hears me
There’s no one else could ever make me feel
I’m so alive
I hoped she’d never leave me
Please God you must believe me
I’ve searched the universe and found myself
Within’ her eyes

Robyn Finck Guitar Solo played here

So if she’s somewhere near me
I hope to God she hears me
There’s no one else could ever make me feel
I’m so alive
I hoped she’d never leave me
Please God you must believe me
I’ve searched the universe and found myself
Within’ her eyes
And now I don’t know why
She wouldn’t say goodbye
It just might be that I
Had seen it in her eyes
And now it seems that I
Gave up my ghost of pride
I’ll never say goodbye

Wow...what a crap post. The song is entitled "Prostitute", nor "This I Love", and the lyrics posted are COMPLETELY off base.

Fail.

"Ask yourself....why I would choose...to PROSTITUE myself....to live with fortune and shame".

the correct lyrics are:

And now I don't know why
She wouldn't say goodbye
But then it seems that I
Had seen it in her eyes.

And it might not be wise
I'd still have to try
With all the love I have inside
I can't deny

I just can't let it die
Cause her heart's just like mine
And she holds her pain inside

So if you ask me why
She wouldn't say goodbye
I know somewhere inside

There is a special light
Still shining bright
And even on the darkest night
She can't deny

So if she's somewhere near me
I hope to God she hears me
There's no one else
Could ever make me feel
I'm so alive
I hoped she'd never leave me
Please God you must believe me
I've searched the universe
And found myself
Within' her eyes

No matter how I try
They say it's all a lie
So what's the use of my
Confessions to a crime
Of passions that won't die
In my heart

So if she's somewhere near me
I hope to God she hears me
There's no one else
Could ever make me feel
I'm so alive
I hoped she'd never leave me
Please God you must believe me
I've searched the universe
And found myself

And now I don't know why
She wouldn't say goodbye
It just might be that I

I'll never say goodbye

Thanks to Manuello! "This I Love" is such a touching song. Axl has made the wait worth while. Absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder.

Never thought I'd hear a power ballad that topped November Rain, this one does so, and by large margins. What I love most about this song is the shocking vocal ranges Axl uses. Wow. On first listen of the first few lines I didn't even think it was him.

Wow.

I am a musician, I love music. Saying that there has been no song that I have ever deemed, "unbelievable, breath-taking, perfect".....until now.
I never really like axl rose because of a lot of things he did but I now have a newfound respect for him. I heard this song a few days ago and to this very second I have listened to no other. This song got me at a time that I was at my lowest, and this song perfectly describes how I feel about a certain someone. This song is more than a song to me and I know that not everyone will think the same way but for me this song meant the world. Thanks Axl.

I waited so long for this album to come out...This is my fav song on it. I think it's amazing! Axl you still rock my world! 12 years were worth the wait...!!!

I have to tell how I feel when I hear this song. I was a GnR fun when I was young. Then, I become "adult". It was a wonderful feeling to hear some of Axl's songs during the time, when I was drunk or something else :)
I dont tell, This is Love is the best GnR song. But I tell, its that why i always loved GnR. Its so epic, its so melodic, its breaking me. Its Guns and Roses, and thats the most i can tell.
Forgive my poor english, but I want to say a very thank you to Axl. This song gives back my years that passed. Thank You, and go on! We wont be younger, but can give the world something more, something else. like this song.

The pain that Axl must have went through to write a song like this, I feel for you Axl. What a fantastic song!

Anonymous said...

This is a fantastic portrait of a feeling, great interpretation, unique vocal sound, thanks Axl, when you hear this song, you can see images passing through your mind...it's a strong sensation...

Anonymous said...

Demirah, this is the best song of the album imo and you have described in words exactly what I feel when I hear it and remember about the old and good GNR.

Hope more albums to come.

Yeah, this IS a great song, with ubelieveable passion in it, quintessence of love in 4 minutes.
If you ever been interested in Axl's biography (and to understand Guns' music you should), you would ask youself a question: who can be icon for this song?

There is an answer as simple as shocking. This isn't song "for" or "about woman". This IS ode to Axl's child, that became bigger then father, that he made himself a priest of.

That misterious goddess is... "Guns n'Roses" itself, for which Axl suffered so much for last 14 years.

As much as I've thrashed Axl Rose, I admit I love the album. But this song very well may be one of my top 5 GnR songs...

...Great blog site btw...

this is the only song on album that it was wrote only by axl rose.. others are wrotet by him and other members...

Anonymous said...

OK people. Enough.... the whole album is no more than DECENT. And I am a musician also like the other dude who wrote here. To all those who said the 12yrs were worth waiting, my ass, stop the BS. A 12yr worth waiting album should have been an album of Apetite and Use Your Illusion combined.. That being said, the decent album has some good songs, i think this is the best song by far on the album. It does NOT top the master pierce of November rain people, stop licking axl's ass for once and live the reality of what it is. It's worth having the album for sure, but dont get over your heads... its a 7/10 album, its missing the GREAT guitar riffs slash had...BIG TIME. Now... knowing all the trouble axl has gone through to make this album, I'd say he should be VERY proud of this, I would. In conclusion... to all the FANS and the HATERS, this album is not mindblowing nor worth the wait FOR SURE, but to the haters who say its a piece of ****, keep in mind all the effort behind it, and if you have ears to LISTEN instead of hearing.. you will LISTEN that there are a couple GOOD songs throughout the album...

Sincerely _PAABS

Ok..from all songs from the album..this is the best..but no single song is better than the past albums of GnR.GUNS N ROSES were GUNS N ROSES whit Slash and Duff and the others...this is just a bad copy..GUNS N ROSES for me ended in 1996...
No offence..I stil love Axl..more than any singer..

Axl axl axl he is bad labbelled person but actually is a smart and geniuos motherfucker. He is the reason I first Liked Guns and Roses. I mean his vocal and lyrics are one of the strongest point. And I think He himself should know he is alredy a Rock legend as his influence in later years is going to be a big and very inspiring to the young generation. And with the music That is going rite now all the FUcking SHIT RAP AND SHIT dances . I mean what the fucking is gang and fight supposed to do with music ... RAp and Hipop were the worse thing that happed to Music .. I cant believe that people like rap and hipop and those motherfuckers are the one who get more attention from press and media also get fucking many awards as i think those awards are useless shit if they r not given to the right artist ... Thanks AXL ROSE U R A IDOL FOR ME ..

Dude are you all deaf or something?
This is kind of song I would expect from steelheart and other hair metal band. NOT from GNR.
Geez..on top of that the crappy vocal?
On the whole, I like 4-5 song of this album. And the biggest let down is axl voice. I cannot listen to Madagascar bacause his voice is downright horrible.
Don't get me wrong, I am a fans. Just being honest.

This is best song I have ever heard in my life. The song is haunting and expresses so much emotion and deep meaning. I had no idea such a song could ever be created.

Thank you Axl. This song has touched my soul.

the best song with "better", for fucking long.

I gree this is not guns. it´s a axl´s solo album.
In fact if you think at the album this way the songs will sound you much more better.

I love Guns N' Roses. This album is different from the original music, but that's just how it goes. Music evolves. It's just shocking how different it is because we weren't eased into this change. There was a huge gap, and now this...

All I know is that the first time I listened to this song, I just finished showering and it made me cry even though I had no reason to cry in my personal life. It was just so passionate, and so sweet...and so sad, and overwhelming. I thought it was beautiful.

Not a lot of music can bring me to tears, and I certainly don't kiss ass, so when I say a song touched me for some reason or another, I mean it. I loved it.

It's called an opinion, and we're all entitled to one. The problem is when a person feels they speak for the entire fanbase...

You don't.

In my humble opinion, this song is alright. It's not Axl's best, not to me. It's heartfelt and emotional and I'm sure it took a lot out of him, but I feel he's done better.

The album, on the other hand, is a masterpiece - again, to me. Pablo, you need to accept that it might not just be ass-kissing, pal: people could really believe this is the best GN'R album. Again, it's all a matter of opinion.

But to the ones who say that Axl needs to get the old guys back and that GN'R died back in '96: move the hell on. I don't know about the rest of the fans, but personally? I'm sick of hearing your bitching. I don't care if you included something nice in your words, something complimentary to the album or the song: you went out of your way to mention them and that. The year is 2009. Move on. What's done is done. As for it being "dead" to you, well, yeah, yeah, blah, blah. We're sick of hearing it. You want to bitch about the past, start a forum or community solely based on old-school Guns and whine there.

And as for anyone claiming to know what or who this song is about, you don't. Unless your name is "W. Axl Rose", please keep your mouth shut about what it's all about. You haven't the faintest idea.

This is very good album. I'm not a musician but I know what is good. And I know what can make me cry. This song is tremendous. I won't compare it. "November Rain" is "November Rain". "This I Love" is "This I Love".
I have the two albums of "Velvet Revolver" I am a big GNR fan. Love GNR in the past, love them now, love "Velvet Revolver" too. Velvet rocked my mind and made me happy. Axl and new GNR touched something very deep inside. Slash is amazing musician but Axl is genius.

THANK YOU AXL

Axl, if you're reading this, thank you for such a beautiful song. It's definitely one of the best GnR songs of all time.

This album is good but there still something missing from the original GnR will be.....that is slash.

This song will be the perfect if Slash who played the solo part. That is the most perfect the song will be.

I'm with the gang who think this is the best song on the new album. And you know why is that? Cause this song was written back in the 1990s when old GnR was still together! That's why we like the song so much - it's reminds us of the old stuff which was the greatest.
I really love Axl Rose and I hate people who trash him and say bad things about him (of which many are just lies), not even trying to get to know something about his background and his possible state of mind (personally I think he's very lonely and let-down by many aspects of life, and with him being an artist, a sensitive person, this must feel twice as painful).
Now about the new album: I won't say it's a masterpiece. Some songs are good, some are just too POP and synthasized (parts of "Catcher" sound like Shania Twain to me). I don't blame Axl - he's developing, he always wanted to try out and mix different styles - and he succeeded. But I'm not crazy about ChD.
And it's obvious that in order to re-create the spirit of the old GnR, the guys would have to get together again (which they won't, in all probability). Nobody can say that Axl IS GnR because GnR was a BAND and every single member contributed to its music. And so the new GnR has the wonderful voice of Axl, his lyrics and musical input, but also the input of the other guys in the band - who are different people than Izzy, Slash, Duff and Steven/Matt. On the other hand, Velvet Revolver has Slash and Duff and some of the sound of the old Guns, but without Axl this is just not enough to bring back the old magic.
Let's face it: GnR from the time of AfD and UYI is history, and let's cherish it, because it's so unique.
And let's hope some good music sometimes gets done in this world of Lady Gagas and Rihannas and whatnot. Currently I'm thinking good music ended in early 1990s.
Howgh. And greetings to all GnR fans.

Unknown said...

Wow. I think this is an unbelieveably emotional song. I feel like crying when I listen to it. You can hear the emotions in Axl's voice when he sings.
Chinese Democracy is an incredible album, I really don't understand why people have a problem with it.
And why do people say; "this would be better with Slash"?
If Slash was still with GN'R and they made the album exactly the way it is now, nobody would be complaining.

I love GN'R. I was lucky enough too see them the other night and they were amazing.
I have a great amount of respect and adoration for Axl. The man is a genius.
